Brunch is such a nice word. It means you can eat breakfast or lunch with your closest friends, laughing at last night’s fiasco while drinking a mimosa or Bloody Mary. What a great start to your day, right?
Well, state legislators have been pushing for HB 535, also known as the Georgia Brunch Bill. How cute is that? This bill would allow Georgia restaurants to start serving and selling alcohol at 10:30 am on Sunday’s instead of waiting until 12:30 pm.
Wow. Show me the money, Georgia! And my mimosa.
The bill has recently passed the Georgia House and moves on to the Senate. If it passes the Senate and Governor Nathan Deal’s final approval, we could all be sipping drinks early on Sunday’s in as little as 60 days. Cheers!
