ATLANTA — The state House has passed a bill to allow restaurants to sell alcohol on Sundays by 10:30 am instead of the current 12:30.
The bill, championed by the Georgia Restaurant Association, is intended to level the playing field in serving for Sunday Brunches. Currently, state-operated facilities and conference sites can sell alcohol before 12:30. Should this law pass the Senate and be signed into law by the Governor, all restaurants would enjoy the same privilege upon local municipal approval.
