Spring is an exciting and vibrant time for restaurants and patrons alike. Diners can once again enjoy their meals on open patios, festivals start appearing around town and spring menus make their way to restaurants. The spring also offers a multitude of opportunities for restaurants to get engaged and involved in the community.
This year, the event will take place April 26, 2015 in Vidalia, Ga. and is sponsored and hosted by the Vidalia Onion Committee with support from the GRA, Georgia Grown and the Vidalia Convention & Visitors Bureau in conjunction with the Vidalia Onion Festival. The GRA also partners with the Atlanta Dogwood Festival each April for the Backyard Barbecue & Brews VIP Experience, which takes place the Saturday and Sunday of the festival. The Backyard Barbecue & Brews VIP Experience gives restaurants a chance to showcase their take on traditional backyard barbecue and picnic fare for festival-goers, key sponsors and media.
This year, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival will take place April 10-12, 2015 in Piedmont Park, with the VIP experience taking place April 11-12 from 1 – 5 p.m. This event is a great opportunity for our members to partake in, and we encourage our members to sign up to showcase their delicious food to the festival’s many attendees. These are just a few examples of the many opportunities that our members can take advantage of for their restaurants. As always, the GRA works to keep our members aware of upcoming opportunities and we work to connect members to the events that are most beneficial to their business.
