A local chef was one of six in Georgia recognized by the state’s restaurant association on Wednesday.
Peter Vossenberg, Chef de Cuisine at The Pinnacle Club, was named a 2020 Georgia Grown Executive Chef by the association. The program aims to foster relationships between chefs and farmers while promoting locally sourced and grown products in Georgia’s growing culinary culture, according to a release.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by this program,” Vossenberg said in a release. “Here in Georgia, we have such high quality local products available. This means we, as chefs, have a broad range of menu options to express our creativity and share the amazing bounty of this state.”
Vossenberg was recognized at the Georgia Restaurant Association’s Taste of Georgia legislative reception held in Atlanta.
