The National Restaurant Association partnered with the US Conference of Mayors to host a webinar, “What Will Your City Be Like Without Restaurants?” on Monday, October 19. A panel of Mayors from around the United States listened and learned about the many challenges the restaurant industry is currently facing from Sean Kennedy, Executive Vice President of Public Affairs for the National Restaurant Association. In addition, the mayors discussed and collaborated about the actions they have taken and are looking to take to continue to support the restaurants in their area.
A few ideas discussed:
- Ways to support Outdoor Dining
- Small Grants to restaurants
- Reducing Alcohol License Fees
- Capping Third Party Delivery Fees
