Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Issues Order to Suspend Penalties for Late 2021 Alcohol License Renewals

ATLANTA—Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms issued an Administrative Order to suspend penalties for late renewals of 2021 alcohol licenses issued by the City of Atlanta. The Order is designed to help mitigate the financial impact and hardships caused by COVID-19 on Atlanta businesses.

Mayor Bottoms’ Administrative Order directs the Chief Operating Officer to coordinate with the Interim Chief of Police to ensure that the City will refrain from taking any administrative action to initiate due cause proceedings or to otherwise initiate the imposition of any administrative penalties for the late renewal of an alcohol license by the City in accordance with Section 10-109 of the City of Atlanta Code of Ordinances from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.
