City of Savannah Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance Revisions for 2023

The City of Savannah recently announced several Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance revisions for 2023. Most notably is a new requirement that all individuals serving alcohol in the City of Savannah must obtain a Server Training Permit Card (STPC) by September 1, 2023. This permit program will be free to servers and valid for 5 years.
Other notable changes include updates to approved take-out containers for cocktails to-go, clarity on the BYOB guidelines, a ban on selling alcoholic beverages through windows or doors, and a new transitional permit for establishments that transition from restaurants to bars at night.
