How the Georgia COAM Market is Paving a New Way for Restaurant Owners

Technology & Innovation,

How the Georgia COAM (Coin Operated Amusement Machine) market is paving a new way for restaurant owners.

Whether you know them as Class B games, COAMs, games of skill, or even “ding-ding machines,” these revenue-generating machines have become an increasingly familiar form of entertainment in restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and other businesses throughout Georgia.

In July 2026 alone, Georgia’s COAM market recorded more than $553 million in money-in, highlighting the significant level of player activity within the state’s regulated gaming market.

Since establishing the ARC Gaming & Technologies brand in 2023, ARC has continued building on years of experience within Georgia’s COAM industry. Today, our focus goes beyond simply placing machines in businesses. We work with our restaurant partners to turn available floor space into an engaging entertainment area and an additional revenue opportunity.

More Than Extra Floor Space

For ARC Gaming & Technologies, simply placing machines inside a restaurant isn't enough. Our goal is to work with our restaurant partners to create gaming areas that complement their businesses.

From state-of-the-art gaming cabinets and fresh game mixes to location-specific marketing and player engagement, we believe the gaming experience should continue evolving alongside the restaurants and businesses that offer it.

Every restaurant and its customer base is different, which is why we take a location-specific approach. By considering game selection, placement, signage, promotions, and the overall gaming environment, we can help our partners create an experience that fits naturally within their business and appeals to their customers.

We have some great examples of restaurant owners who have taken their extra floor space and seen substantial results. One great example is Andy, owner of Summit Wayside Tavern, his locations in Snellville and Cumming

“As a restaurant owner with two locations, I'm always looking for ways to improve the customer experience while still making money. Having these machines in my taverns gives my guests another form of entertainment beyond sports, food and drinks. It’s a great addition to our business, and working with ARC has helped us make the most of the space we have.”

Changing the Conversation Around COAMs

As COAMs become more visible throughout communities in Georgia, there’s also an opportunity to better educate both business owners and players about what they are—and what they aren't. There can still be misconceptions surrounding the industry. Some customers may assume COAMs operate like traditional casino games or question the legality of the machines. Georgia's Class B COAM industry, however, operates within a regulated framework overseen by the Georgia Lottery Corporation.

That distinction is important.

COAM education helps create a better, more transparent experience for everyone involved. Restaurant owners should understand how they operate within their business; while players should feel comfortable understanding the games they are playing and rules surrounding them.

At ARC, we’re committed to helping restaurant owners better understand Georgia’s COAM market and how it can support their business. By closing the education gap and pairing that knowledge with state-of-the-art games, fresh game mixes, location-specific marketing, and player engagement, we help our restaurant partners create a gaming experience that adds value to both their business and their customers.
