Georgia ProStart Invitational Winners Experience at Third Space Atlanta
The top three teams from both the Culinary and Management competitions at the Georgia ProStart Invitational (GPSI) recently were invited to an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience with Chef Shai at The Third Space Atlanta. The day gave students and educators a firsthand look at the importance of quality ingredients, industry relationships, and the farm-to-table journey.
Chef Shai invited several of his trusted partners to speak with students, including representatives from Oak Wood Ranch, Coffee That Matters, and Atlanta Harvest. Students learned about sustainable farming, ethical sourcing, local produce, and the impact strong partnerships have within the hospitality industry.
In addition to hearing from industry professionals, students participated in hands-on activities including creating coffee drinks and assisting Chef Shai with plating lunch. The experience highlighted ProStart’s mission of connecting students with real industry professionals while exposing them to future career opportunities in the restaurant and foodservice industry.
